Lucy Owen - Chief Executive Officer

Lucy is our CEO, having joined the Dyspraxia Foundation in October 2023. She comes from a charity background, having led the largest global Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths programme ‘FIRST LEGO League’ in the UK and Ireland for the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Previously to that, she worked in several education settings, notably working with children with additional needs, primarily speech, language and communication needs, and completed her degree in Applied Education Studies alongside her work. She is an experienced public speaker with strong skills in event, stakeholder, budget and volunteer management.


Jane Trowbridge - Operations Manager

I have been at the Foundation for 15 years and oversee the running of the office, the Helpline the Hitchin Team and Volunteers. I monitor the office and charity finances, I am responsible for policies, coordinating and publishing the professional journal and charity information sheets. Organise events, attend meetings and assist Eleanor in all aspects of running the Foundation


Claire Cripps - Youth Information Officer

Claire joined the Foundation in January 2015 and works part-time as the Youth Information Officer, prior to this Claire worked in the field of Learning Disability Nursing for the NHS. Claire provides information and support to those aged 13 to 25 and has set up Social Media platforms where young people can find information about dyspraxia and share their experiences and offer peer support to one another.


Lisa McCarthy - Membership & Development Officer

Lisa joined Dyspraxia Foundation in 2008 and has had several different roles over the years. In February 2020 I took on the challenge of developing our Local Groups and Membership, recruiting, and supporting Volunteer Local Group Coordinators throughout the country. I also process membership applications and answer any membership queries.


Lucille Kent - Support Administrator

Lucille first joined Dyspraxia Foundation in August 2016 as a volunteer helping with the office administration. She then progressed to become a member of staff in May 2018 as a Support Administrator. She comes from a background in retail, construction and NHS working as an HR and Training Administrator. In her role she deals with all things administration including the numerous email queries, gathering the information for Research Projects, reporting the Gift Aid to HMRC, monitoring the income streams, and helping with conferences and events.
