'You're so clumsy Charley' by Jane Binnion
A new edition which includes useful notes for teachers on dyspraxia/DCD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Attention Deficit Disorder and Asperger's Syndrome.
Charley always seemed to get into trouble, though he didn't mean to. He was getting fed up with going to school, because he felt different than most of the other kids. Then he met Aunty Bella...and everything changed. This book is about dyspraxia, a neurological condition affecting 1 in 10, but it is still very misundersood.
We chose not to name it in the story because this book is for every child that is different.
A simple but thought provoking book on a child who is different, getting the child to focus on what he can do rather than what he can't. A good book which will stimulate debate between adult and children who have difficulties in coping with being different.
