News from the Hitchin Team

As we close 2019, we have to share a sad farewell to two members of our Hitchin Office.

Sadly, we will be operating with a skeleton crew as we start 2020 as we say good bye and good luck at the end of this year to Alex Bettey who leaves to take some time out and to Jo Webb who has been offered her dream job working with horses.

Both have been very much part of the Hitchin Team and will be greatly missed but we wish them well and hope they will not be strangers at 8 West Alley.

Additionally, it is with great sadness that we report that Lesley French,  who was a valued member of the Board of Trustees and Treasurer from November 2018 until 30th September 2019 has lost her battle with cancer and died peacefully at the end of November.  Our thoughts are with her husband, family and friends.

We would like to close the year with our heartfelt thanks to all those who have supported our work in 2019 including you, our membership, local co-ordinators and contacts who help raise awareness in the community along with our Youth Champions and Ambassadors;  our Trustees and fundraisers, our bank of volunteers who man the helpline and provide admin support and to all those who have raised vital funds throughout the year from organised events to Facebook Birthday fundraisers.

Every penny helps us to increase awareness and improve understanding.  In May were delighted that, with your help, to smash our target of raising £30,000 to mark our 30th Anniversary!
